You can create your own routine, but ideally, you must de-clutter your wardrobe once every 3 months, especially if you shop a lot. When you de-clutter, pull everything out and re-evaluate all your clothes: which ones are your staples, which ones you wear occasionally, and which ones you know are not for you anymore. You will find that your requirements and preferences keep changing, and you need to customize your wardrobe according to your needs. It is the only way you will be able to stay organized.
Instead of tossing all of your old clothes into the trash, consider donating or recycling. It is a healthy practice that does good to the environment and preserves our already exhausted resources.
Some general tips you should keep in mind while de-cluttering are: be ruthless and don’t get attached to your clothes, set a limit for the number of clothes you want in your closet, and if you’re confused about a particular item of clothing, try it on and look at yourself in the mirror. The most important thing is, to be honest with yourself.
